Charter College is expanding its Medical Assistant Program in Anchorage, Alaska , and is seeking dedicated professionals to join our instructional team.
Position OverviewWe are currently seeking talented, enthusiastic, and experienced Part-Time Medical Assistant Instructors to teach in a blended learning environment . This role reports directly to the Program Manager .

Blended Learning EnvironmentInstruction combines:
- Face-to-face classroom instruction
- Live lectures and lab work
- In-class discussions and group activities
- Web-based learning tools (discussion boards, forums, and a learning management system)
This model allows flexible scheduling while maintaining high-quality, hands-on instruction.
Duties and Responsibilities- Participate in student retention efforts and identify at-risk students
- Prepare and deliver lecture, laboratory, and clinical instruction per curriculum
- Follow approved course outlines, objectives, and evaluation methods
- Maintain daily lesson plans
- Monitor and document student attendance and retention
- Grade assignments and submit final grades in a timely manner
- Provide student support during office hours or by appointment
- Substitute for classes when needed
- Advise students on school policies and performance expectations
- Maintain communication with the Program Manager regarding student issues
- Submit textbook, supply, and equipment needs in writing
- Monitor and secure instructional equipment and consumable supplies
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct
- Engage in ongoing faculty development to meet accreditation standards
- Ensure students follow catalog and program guidelines
- Attend all mandatory meetings
- Serve on committees as assigned
- Perform other duties as required
- Current Medical Assistant Certification (CCMA required)
- Minimum two (2) years of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Experience in blended or online teaching preferred (not required)
Part-Time | Pay Per Course (paid over 5 weeks)
- 6.0 credit course: $1,666.67
- 4.5 credit course: $1,250.00
- 1.0 credit course: $500.00
- Lab courses: $750.00
- Day: 9:00 a.m. 1:30 p.m. (MondayThursday)
- Evening: 6:00 p.m. 10:30 p.m. (MondayThursday)
