Job Summary
The Drexel Partnership Comprehensive Care Practice provides expert primary and specialty healthcare for patients living with HIV regardless of their ability to pay. We are seeking a person with a positive energetic attitude with the willingness to learn and grow in the infectious disease specialty. We are looking for an individual who works well in a team environment and has a passion for providing optimal patient care.
This position is grant-funded; employment is contingent upon the continued availability of those funds.
Essential Functions
- Collecting vital signs
- Prepping and cleaning examine rooms
- Phlebotomy
- Preparing laboratory specimens; performing point of care tests on the premises
- Accurately recording patient information in accordance with EMR documentation guidelines
- Performing EKGs and other minor diagnostics/treatments
- Administering injections, vaccines, and routine immunizations .
- Assisting health care providers during examinations
- Disposing of contaminated supplies
- Works in partnership with clinic team members to ensure patients healthcare needs are being met
- Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
- Maintains medical supply inventory for clinic; keeps patient rooms stocked with supplies as appropriate; ensures expired products are disposed of properly
- Quality control testing
- Ability to communicate effectively with providers and others to resolve issues
- Ability to demonstrate reliability and responsiveness to patients, families, and co-workers
- Additional duties as assigned by Lab Manager
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a HS Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of experience.
- Valid registration/certification as Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in the State of Pennsylvania or LPN
- Strong phlebotomy/venipuncture skills a must
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Additional Information
This position is classified as Non-Exempt, grade H. Compensation for this grade ranges from $17.14 to $$ 25.71 per hour. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
