NCIA is seeking compassionate Community Living Associates to support adults with developmental disabilities in residential settings. This role ensures health, safety, and personal growth through individualized support and community integration.
This position offers Evening or Overnight schedules
Key Responsibilities:
Implement Person-Centered Plans, behavior plans, and nursing care plans
Provide supervision, personal care, and life skills training
Assist with meal preparation, household upkeep, and community activities
Document daily progress, incidents, and health data in agency systems
Transport residents to appointments and activities
Respond to crises and communicate concerns to medical and supervisory staff
Maintain a positive, respectful, and safe home environment
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience
1–3 months of related experience or training preferred
Ability to read and interpret safety and procedural documents
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively with individuals using their preferred method
Basic math skills including fractions, percentages, and interpreting bar graphs
Ability to solve practical problems and follow written, oral, or diagrammed instructions
Certifications & Requirements
Certified Medication Technician (CMT) – Maryland Board of Nursing
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Acceptable driving record per agency and insurance criteria
Willingness to use personal vehicle occasionally for resident transport
