- Job Summary :
- To assess, plan, implement the nursing care to meet the patients' needs, by following the appropriate policy and procedures of the assigned department.
- Education :
- Position requires an associate's degree (A.A) or diploma program.
- Registration/Certification/Licensure :
- Registered Nurse Certification; State Licensure
- Experience :
- Position requires a minimum of one year direct experience in Labor/Delivery, OR circulator role, Post Partum and Newborn Nursery. CPR and NRP required. PACU experience preferred.
- Other Requirements :
- Maintain unit specific and hospital competencies in accordance with policy requirements.
- Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.

- Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs and documents delivery of nursing care via the nursing process: assessment, problem identification, planning, nursing interventions, and evaluation.
- Practices within nursing standards of practice and follows CalvertHealth policies and procedures.
- Utilizes a multi disciplinary approach to determining and executing the most effective plan of care.
- Adheres to policies and procedures for medication administration and documentation.
- Performs duties according to established standards for population served.
- Provides individualized patient/family education.
- Delegates authority and responsibility effectively to provide safe patient care.
- Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals.
