Were looking for a compassionate, dependable Hospice Aide to join our team and help support patients and families with kindness, respect, and heart.
Responsibilities:
- Personal Care: Assist patients with hygiene, dressing, feeding, personal care, ambulation, positioning, and transfers.
- Observation & Documentation: Monitor patient condition and report significant changes to the nurse and in patient records.
- Meal & Housekeeping Assistance: Help with food preparation and maintain a clean, safe environment.
- Teamwork & Professionalism: Maintain a positive, collaborative relationship with team members and professionalism with patients and families.

- Communicates clearly and professionally with patients, families, staff, and leadership
- Follows written and verbal instructions accurately using sound judgment
- Documents patient care, observations, and progress accurately and timely
- Builds and maintains effective working relationships with team members
- Adapts to changing priorities and performs effectively in high-pressure environments
- Provides compassionate, high-quality service to patients and families
- Maintains strict confidentiality and safeguards patient information
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) by the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Hospice experience, preferred
Typical Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
- Due to the nature of services provided, it may be necessary at times for employees to work beyond scheduled work hours to ensure adequate patient care
- Sit, stand, stoop, bend, reach, lift and walk, climb steps
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move 75-100 pounds and push up to 200 pounds in a wheelchair.
- Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
- Requires normal visual acuity and hearing
