Experience:

12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

10 months of Emergency Department experience.

Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a Alaska license (required for submission).

This role may require floating to additional units and locations

Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - Providence Health & Services and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Providence Health & Services.

Required Skills/Experience:Previous Charge Experience: Required.

Required Credentials:Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past.

Special Requests:RTO must be listed at time of submission.RTO restrictions: Based upon request.No locals accepted; candidates permanent address must be at least 50 miles from facility.All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.If using facility-provided housing, move-in is available not earlier than 72 hours before the contract begins and not longer than 24 hours after the contract ends.If using facility-provided housing, pets are not allowed.If using facility-provided housing, housing is typically sized for the traveler only; additional family members need facility approval.If using facility-provided housing, the unit must be cleaned upon departure or additional cleaning fees will be billed to the traveler.

Unit Details:Level IV Trauma Center.Staffed with 2 nurses on day shift and 2 nurses on night shift.No techs, CNAs, or unit secretary.May sign up to be on call for night shift hours, voluntary.Neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population.

Shift & Scheduling:Variable 12-hour shifts: 7:00-19:00 or 19:00-7:00.No call required.Weekends required.

5 days maximum time off

2 Manager/Supervisor references required from within the last 2 years

Certifications:

PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course)

BLS (Basic Life Support)

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
