Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Experience:

18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

12 months of Dialysis Unit experience.

Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).

Local & travel allowed.

12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - Memorial Health System - IL and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Memorial Health System - IL.

12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Aya Program - Memorial Health System - IL and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Memorial Health System - IL.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:Patient care experience: acute renal failure, acute kidney injury, hemodialysis, and peritoneal dialysis.Dialysis treatment skills/experience: administration of blood/blood products during treatment; administration of Mannitol/albumin/23.4% NaCl; blood flow rates (Qb); dialysate flow rate (Qd); peritoneal catheter malfunction; vascular access malfunction; venous pressure.Equipment skills/experience: B. Braun Dialog.Initiate/set up dialysis treatment skills/experience: absence of disinfectant in system; ability to cannulate AV graft; ability to cannulate AV fistula; tunneled/non-tunneled catheter.Machine alarm troubleshooting procedures/skills/experience: arterial pressure alarm; blood leak detector; conductivity alarm; venous pressure alarm.Post dialysis treatment skills/experience: post treatment access care.Professional knowledge and skills: airway management, blood glucose monitoring, infection control.Symptom management skills/experience: air emboli, cardiac arrest, chest pain, clotted access/poor blood flow rate, disequilibrium syndrome, filter blood leak, fluid overload, hyperkalemia, hypotension, muscle cramps, pyrogenic reaction, seizures.

Preferred Skills/Experience:Teaching hospital experience preferred.Community hospital experience preferred.Trauma Level I experience preferred.

Special Requests:References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.Discuss schedule requests with manager.Ideally no more than 5 days of RTO.

Unit Details:Day staffing ratio: 1:2.

Shift & Scheduling:Every other weekend.On-call required as needed; 2/3 overnight calls. Every third Saturday, then on call until Monday 0700. 1 hour response time for call. Emergent cases only. Closed on Sundays, with the weekend nurse on call.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear Yes or No response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.

5 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 2
