Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience worked in the last 12 months.

Experience with MEDHOST is preferred.

12 months of acute care experience.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a Tennessee license or compact license (required for submission).

This role will require floating to multiple units

Local & travel allowed. Candidates living Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:- 1-2+ years of experience.

Unit Details:- Geriatric and adult patient population; typically only 3-4 pediatric patients per year.- Unit secretary/monitor tech stationed at the Med-Surg nurses station.- Equipment includes Welch Allyn vital machines, Masimo at bedside in every room, CareView, telemetry, Sara Stedy, and ARJO lift.

Shift & Scheduling:- Rotate every other weekend unless there is a need and staff will be scheduled more than every other weekend.- Depending on census, staff may be placed on call.

Floating Requirements:- Float to medical detox, ICU, OB, or ER (task assignments for OB and ER); will take low-level Med-Surg overflow patients in ICU with ratio of 1:3.

7 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years

Drivers license required

Certifications:

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

BLS (Basic Life Support)
