Nursing Supervisor LPN/LVN
Are you an experienced LPN/LVN looking to advance into a supervisory role? As Nursing Supervisor LPN/LVN, you will manage the LPN/LVN staff, including the administration of medications, performance of physicals, provision of treatments, and scheduling of medical appointments in collaboration with a Registered Nurse.

  • Manage direct care staff including performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation, training, and ongoing support; resolve employee relations issues as needed; make decisions related to employment
  • Coordinate the assignment of work of facility staff and evaluate performance
  • Monitor the health and medical condition of individuals served to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Supervise the administration of proper medications according to established guidelines; maintain documentation on all medications given
  • Provide treatment and/or health care procedures as specified in physicians’ orders and/or as determined by the team
  • Make referrals for appropriate medical services and schedule appointments as needed; attend medical appointments with individuals served to promote positive outcomes
  • Assist in the performance of quarterly and annual physicals; monitor weight gain or loss and update medical records regularly
  • Maintain contact with families and keep them informed about the individual’s medical condition, nutritional needs, medications, etc.
  • Complete the intake of medication deliveries from the pharmacy by receiving medications and comparing with physicians’ orders and medication administration records
  • Monitor budgets for assigned areas; manage activities to ensure financial goals are met
  • Monitor budget variances and implement corrective action plans as needed

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree from a two-year college or technical school with current LPN and CPR licensure
  • Two years of related experience
  • Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license if required by state
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to build rapport with others
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented with ability to multi-task
