The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) practices as an expert in the application of the nursing process and theory within a specialty area. The primary responsibility of the Clinical Nurse Specialist is to advance patient care directly in the role of expert clinical practitioner and indirectly in the roles of educator, consultant, researcher, change agent, collaborator, clinical leader, role model, and patient advocate. The CNS will support the ICU and IMC, including CVICU, Neuro ICU, Neurosurgery, Stroke, Surgical ICU, Medical ICU and Cardiac ICU patients along with Intermediate Care Unit patients of the same types.
Work schedule: 8 hour exempt. No holidays or weekends required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in a CNS track from an accredited school of nursing or grandfathered in per MD BON regulations.
- RN License Maryland State Board of Nursing.
- Current designation as an APRN from the Maryland Board of Nursing required.
- Three (3) years of experience in the area of specialty practice required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS).

Salary Range: Minimum 57.56/hour - Maximum 89.22/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
