Registered Nurse - Oncology

Join our team at Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center in Salida, CO as a Registered Nurse in the Oncology department. As a clinic RN, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care to individuals battling cancer. Working closely with a team of healthcare professionals, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Collect patient information upon arrival at the clinic
• Support patient evaluation and assessment

Administer treatments and medications as prescribed

• Educate patients on their condition and treatment plan
• Provide quality nursing care to all oncology clinic patients
• Verifies orders and pre-authorization status for all oncology clinic patients

Required Skills:

• Experience in patient assessment and care planning
• Ability to administer medications and interventions
• Maintains knowledge and skill sets required to conduct patient education session related to chemotherapy, drug administration, side effects, and other related issues

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Associates Degree in Nursing from two-year college nursing program
• Oncology experience is preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Must maintain a current, active license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado Must maintain a current CPR certification.

Salary and Benefits:

Minimum Salary: $55,000.00
Maximum Salary: $80,071.00
