We have a fantastic opportunity for the Senior Director of Nursing to join our staff.

Position Summary:

The Senior Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall strategic planning, communication, organizing and implementing nursing operations and goals aligning with Mount Vernon Hospital's vision and strategic plan. The position oversees all activities regarding development and implementation of standards of care, professional development, and quality/performance improvement for the delivery of nursing care.

Position Duties include:

• Analysis and control of divisional financial performance
• Collaboration with Physician teams in multiple sub -specialties and assures the integration of interdisciplinary team’s members to the service lines
• Directs and ensures the quality of service and activities required to support patient care
• Supervises directors and managers across multiple units, departments and assures supervision across all shifts
• Coordinate, collaborate and facilitate the delivery of services from other support departments that impact the care delivery system
• Monitors standards of practice to ensure compliance with codes of internal and external regulatory agencies

Education and Requirements:

• Master’s degree in nursing required. PHD preferred
• Valid NYS Nursing License
• Minimum of 10-year experience along with progressive management experience
• BLS/ACLS/Infection Control Certifications
• Specialty Certification Required
