LPN or Medical Assistant - Casual - Walk-in Clinic

Building Location: EH Downtown Moorhead Clinic Department: 3631530 WALK IN CLINIC - DWTN MHD Job Description: Seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse or Certified Medical Assistant to serve at Essentia Health's walk-in clinic at our Downtown Moorhead Clinic in Moorhead, Minnesota. This LPN or CMA works on a casual, as-needed basis, picking up available shifts. Clinic schedule is 7:45 am to 8:00 pm Monday through Friday, 8:45 am to 5:00 pm Saturday, and 11:45 am to 5:00 pm on Sunday. Shifts can be split. A minimum of two shifts a month is required for casual. Education Qualifications:

• Education as required for licensure.

What You'll Do:

Assists RN, Physician and other providers and provides direct patient care in the ambulatory and/or home care setting to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health. Will perform identified procedures for which competencies have been demonstrated. Cares for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted on age-related category.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

• LPN: Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Minnesota upon hire.
• LPN: North Dakota LPN license required within 3 months of hire.
• CMA: Current registration or certification as a Medical Assistant OR verifiable completion of a Medical Assistant Program and must become certified within one year of date of hire. Must pass certification within two attempts.
• CMA: Must be registered as a Medication Assistant III through the North Dakota Board of Nursing within 60 days of hire/transfer. Clinical Assistant can NOT administer medication prior to being registered as a MAIII through the ND BON.
• BOTH: AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 3 months of hire.
