Description: Registered Nurse (RN) A Recovery/PACU/Same Day Surgery

Schedule: Typical shifts are Monday through Friday, 10-hour days with flex start times. 1 in 5 or 6 call and 1 in 5 or 6 weekends.They do approximately 2500 cases per year.

How youAll contribute

• A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.

• Documents patient care given.

• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.

• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.

• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Qualifications:

What weAre looking for

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate or bachelorAs degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• American Heart Association Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 14 days of hire, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of hire, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of hire.
