Labor & Delivery Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Experience:

24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

24 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience is required.

Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a Minnesota license (required for submission).

This role may require floating to additional units and locations

Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.

Required Skills/Experience: Able to work in Labor, PP, Nursery and PEDS

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Care for postpartum, stable antepartum, pediatric patients, newborns, GYN, Med-Surg overflow and may be 2nd RN in our SCN .

Equipment Used on Unit: EPIC One Chart, Acudose, Philips Vitals Machines, Bladder Scanner, Medulla Breast Pumps, Responder 5 Call light system, Medfusion Pumps.

Unit Details:

• Census varies-average 5 couplets, 2 pediatrics, 1 gyn, 2 labor, 4 SCN.
• 1:3 mom/baby couplets, 1:5 GYN/Med-Surge patients, 1:3-4 pediatrics

Previous Employment Requirements: MUST note in submission if clinician has ever worked for Sanford Health. If clinician previously worked with Sanford, they must have an end date 6 months prior to their submission date.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Days/Nights rotate or straight nights.
• Every other weekend and holiday.
• Will assist in filling schedule vacancies related to staff onboarding, vacancies, and staff on FMLA.

Floating Requirements: Tele, MS in the event it is needed. (per union contract, travelers are first to float)

7 days maximum time off

1 reference from last 12 months (Charge/Lead reference type) - required for submission

1 reference from last 3 years (Any reference type) - required for submission

Drivers license required for submission

Certifications:

BLS (Basic Life Support)

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program 8th Edition)

PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
