Experience:

12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

24 months of Intensive Care Unit experience worked in the last 3 years.

3 months of Meditech experience is preferred.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a South Dakota license or compact license (required after submission).

Local & travel allowed.

COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

No previous experience allowed for Staff at Program: AMN Program - Avera Health and no current placement allowed at Program: AMN Program - Avera Health.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:- Float experience does not count towards the unit experience requirement.- Must be capable to managing total patient care of ICU patients. Must be able to manage drips, vents, art lines.

Required Credentials:- Basic medication assessment exam required.- ICU or CCU competency exam required.

Special Requests:- No prior Avera or Sanford permanent employees may submit.

Unit Details:- Total patient care of ICU patients.- Patients include septic shock, post PCI, respiratory failure, overdose, STEMI, NSTEMI, postoperative patients.

Shift & Scheduling:- D/N rotating.- Every other weekends and holidays.- No call.- 36 Hours - No 48s

5 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 10/31/2026, 11/26/2026, 12/24/2026, 12/25/2026, 12/31/2026. Number of holidays allowed off: 1
