Director of Nursing, Maternal-Child Health

A healthcare network in New York City is currently seeking an experienced, licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their Maternal-Child Health Department as the new Director of Nursing. About the Opportunity: Shift: Day Schedule: Monday to Friday, with some off-shift and weekend requirements Hours: 8am to 4:30pm Setting: Acute Care Responsibilities: Providing strategic leadership and oversight of nursing excellence initiatives Leading organizational readiness efforts for Magnet designation Integrating shared governance and evidence-based practice programs Standardizing nursing excellence processes across departments Collaborating to embed evidence-based, patient-centered care Performing other duties, as needed Qualifications: 7+ years of related Nursing experience with at least 5 years in a Supervisory role Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license BLS certification Experience with Acute Care Nursing leadership Effective communication skills Strong leadership abilities Problem-solving skills Team collaboration Desired Qualifications: Master's Degree in Nursing Maternal-Child Health background Proficiency in Epic EMRs
