As a vital member of the health services team, you'll assist in daily clinic operations while providing essential care to a specialized caseload. Your nursing skills will make a direct impact on the well-being and success of students in the school community. What you bring: Active and current LPN or LVN licensure Previous experience in a school health setting or working with pediatric populations is preferred Flexibility and adaptability to travel between two sites as needed Confidence in assisting with health office responsibilities and specialized medical care Strong communication and collaborative skills, able to work effectively with school staff, students, and families Compassion and attentiveness to the needs of students with medical conditions such as spina bifida and diabetes Role overview: Provide daily support to the school nurse in the health offices at both assigned locations (within 10 minutes apart) Deliver medical support and monitoring to students with chronic health conditions Serve as substitute PCA/1:1 support staff for three students (two with spina bifida, one with diabetes) as coverage is required Help address urgent medical situations and provide first aid as needed Accurately document care provided and maintain confidentiality in all interactions This position runs from August 19, 2026 through May 26, 2027, with a consistent weekly schedule of 35 hours.
