Role Overview
Our Med Techs provide activities of daily living and other services to residents in accordance with their service plan. Responsibilities
1. Assist resident with all personal care skills (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting) and services in accordance with Individual Resident Service Plan, using safe, courteous and effective standards of practice.
2. Makes appropriate observations about residents condition in event interaction with resident and records changes in residents condition in a timely manner or reports changes to the H &W Director, Nurse or designated charge person immediately.
3. Records omission of resident services/medications according to company policy/procedures and standards.
4. Assists in recording temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed.
5. Aid in the delivery of specific participation in programs, such as fall prevention, safety, rehab and wellness, exercise and others as identified, which will provide entertainment, socialization to all residents.

7. Promptly respond to resident call lights.
8. Demonstrate a courteous, polite, and friendly attitude with families, visitors and coworkers.
9. Administers and Manages medication under the supervision and training of the Health and Wellness Director.
10.Demonstrates ability to read, write, and speak English sufficient to fulfill job requirements.
11.Demonstrates the ability to make independent decisions, solve practical problems that may or may not include a variety of concrete variables. This may require the ability to interpret instructions given in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form.
12.Demonstrates the ability to listen actively and evaluate social situations in an objective, consistent and fair manner. Functions independently with integrity, flexibility and works well with residents, personnel and support agencies.
13.Complies with community policies and procedures for workplace safety including infection control procedures, emergency response and safety protocol.
14.Complies with all company policies and procedures related to resident rights; abuse prevention and reporting; and resident confidentiality (HIPPA).
15.Demonstrates knowledge of Employee Handbook and complies with the policies in the Handbook. 16.Performs other related duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Must demonstrate competency in the following areas:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or three (3) months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and caregiver experience desired.
Preferred to have a valid, unrestricted certification in the state (CNA desired) and maintain CEUs as required by the State.
CPR and First Aid certification or successfully achieved within 30 days of employment if required by State Standards.
