More about our team

This role works in our busy 16-bay emergency department with patient ratios of 1:4 and 1:6 in our fast-track area. This is a leadership opportunity to learn at a remote hospital that sees a lot of trauma cases!

How youAll contribute

An Emergency Services Supervisor who excels in this role will lead and oversee quality initiatives within the ER department. They will focus on improving patient outcomes and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards, particularly in areas such as sepsis management, moderate sedation, restraints, trauma, and psychiatric care. Additional essential functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring quality improvement initiatives related to sepsis, moderate sedation, restraints, and psychiatric care along with other high risk areas.

  • Providing ongoing education and training to ER staff on best practices and protocols for quality care.

  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including Joint Commission requirements and hospital policies.

  • Collecting and analyzing data to identify trends, measure outcomes, and drive continuous improvement.

  • Promoting a culture of safety and ensuring that all quality initiatives prioritize patient safety and well-being.

  • Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and administrative staff, to coordinate and enhance quality care.

  • Preparing and presenting regular reports on quality metrics and improvement efforts to hospital leadership.

  • Managing resources effectively to support quality initiatives and ensure optimal patient care.

  • Taking a patient load if necessary.

Qualifications:

What weAre looking for

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate or bachelorAs degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS and PALS upon hire. TNCC within 3 months of hire/transfer
